Associate/Full Professor Academic Clinician General Anesthesiology - CHOP

About the Role

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in Pediatric Anesthesiology.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in formal didactic lecture programs and informal instruction of medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in the Operating Rooms.
• Attendance and participation in presentations, small groups, simulation sessions, and/or multidisciplinary conferences.
• Direct patient care and medical direction in the Operating Rooms and other anesthetizing locations at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (Philadelphia and King of Prussia campuses).

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree.
• ABA certification with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• Pennsylvania licensure.

Qualifications

The Academic Clinician track is intended for faculty members who demonstrate impactful contributions to clinical care and education and who develop an Area of Concentration (AoC) in which they become recognized.
