Associate/Economic Damages and Litigation Support (Risk, Investigations & Analytics practice)
About the role
CRA’s Risk, Investigations & Analytics Practice is an integrated global team that combines specialized investigative and forensic accounting capabilities with sophisticated data analytics and extensive subject-matter expertise. The practice gathers intelligence, responds to crises, and identifies and mitigates risks for clients through all stages of due diligence, investigations, disputes, and litigation. Services include economic and financial advisory for intellectual property disputes (patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark and copyright infringement), International Trade Commission investigations, and commercial litigation (breach of contract, business interruption, tortious interference, and price discrimination).
Responsibilities
- Develop appropriate financial, accounting, and economic analyses and damages models to support case theories.
- Review and summarize client documents, third-party financial and industry data, expert reports, depositions, complaints, and other legal documents to identify key information and discern relevant patterns.
- Assist in writing expert reports and deposition questions.
- Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to develop an understanding of the relationships between the parties, the relevant market, and other topics.
- Assist in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of findings.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses.
- Support senior experts to conduct analyses of various types of data (macro and microeconomic, corporate financial and operational, market and industry).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related analytic discipline.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or financial/economic analysis (recent graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates without directly relevant experience may be hired at the Analyst title).
- Solid working knowledge of finance, accounting, and economic theories and methodologies.
- Analytic skills, including intermediate or advanced Excel experience.
- Experience gathering, standardizing, and analyzing voluminous transactional electronic data.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Curious and analytic thinkers who bring creative approaches to non-standard problems.
- Ability to communicate with project managers to facilitate prioritized tasks and execute responsibilities under pressure.

Schedule
Individuals are asked to spend 3 to 4 days a week on average working in the office (which may include traveling to another CRA office or to a client's location), with specific days determined in coordination with your practice or team.
Pay
Annual base salary range for this position is $92,500 - $100,000. Starting pay may vary based on education, experience, skills, geographic location, market conditions, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for additional bonus incentive compensation.
