About the role
The Associate Director, Market Access Strategic Marketing is responsible for the development, implementation, management, and execution of a coordinated, strategic plan and related tactics, deliverables, and customer-specific access activities. This role aligns closely with all market access functions and field teams in support of current and future indications for BeOne’s hematology portfolio.
The successful candidate will develop and advance a comprehensive understanding of the market access landscape and customer needs, including value proposition development, pricing and contracting strategy, patient support programs, and healthcare policy trends. This role serves as a strategic partner across Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Pricing, Contracting, Trade, Patient Services, Sales, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure market access priorities are reflected in brand strategy and execution.
Success in this position requires a collaborative leadership style, strong cross-functional influence, and the ability to align stakeholders behind a unified access strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of differentiated value propositions and customer-specific access messaging.
- Translate clinical, economic, and real-world evidence into compelling customer narratives.
- Develop payer-facing, provider-facing, and organized customer marketing tools and resources.
- Act as primary point of contact with agencies, vendors, and/or 3rd party consultants; lead promotional review committee process for assigned/developed projects and materials.
- Support segmentation and customer prioritization efforts to maximize strategic impact.
- Serve as the market access representative on cross-functional brand teams.
- Partner with Evidence Generation and Medical Affairs to ensure evidence plans support market access objectives.
- Ensure payer, provider, and reimbursement perspectives are incorporated into business decisions and brand planning.
- Support launch readiness activities and lifecycle management initiatives.
- Gather customer insights from internal and external stakeholders to inform strategy development.
- Define success metrics for market access initiatives and evaluate performance.
- Synthesize market trends, customer feedback, and business analytics into actionable recommendations.
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to deliver integrated market access strategies.
- Influence decisions and drive execution through collaboration rather than direct authority.
- Contribute to the overall development and implementation of respective Brand’s value propositions, access strategy, and payer/systems marketing, ultimately aligning operations to ensure access is not a barrier to BeOne products.
- Maintain understanding of the complex and evolving market access landscape and challenges, including payer trends, private and government payer perspectives, integrated systems control levers (e.g., clinical pathways, specialty product dispensing, and Part B intravenous/infusibles and Part D oral oncolytics), and evolving healthcare policy.
Requirements
- BS degree with 8+ years of broad biotech/pharma experience or a Master’s with 6+ years.
- Product launch experience.
- 4+ years of oncology and/or rare disease, and competitive product launch experience is strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree and training is appreciated.
- Market access experience with payers, plans, PBMs, health systems, IDNs, large community oncology practices, and/or Group Purchasing Organizations is strongly desired.

Education
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
Schedule
Depending on candidate’s home residence, this will be a hybrid home-office/remote position. Travel will vary month-to-month, including attendance at industry conferences, insights gathering events (e.g., focus groups), and supporting field Account Directors with customer visits.
Pay
Salary range: $153,100.00 - $203,100.00 annually. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan. All employees are eligible for discretionary equity awards and may voluntarily participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
