Associate Director, Distribution & Trade

Key result areas

• Develop, execute and continuously refine the channel strategies for uniQure’s portfolio of products ensuring each strategy is tailored to the specific distribution dynamics for each therapy.
• Negotiate, execute, and manage all relationships with channel intermediaries (3PL, SD, SP).
• Partner with uniQure’s IT department to ensure all intermediaries are providing all relevant product flow and financial flow data for reporting purposes (ERP system).
• Design and monitor specific channel KPIs to ensure efficient supply chain dynamics and make recommendations to course correct as necessary.
• Identify, develop, and operationalize new business opportunities across the distribution network to improve efficiencies and save costs.
• Manage operational budget and oversee the financial planning for all distribution channel expenses and GTN line items.
• Collaborate to build internal capability and trade fluency across functions by developing educational resources and training materials that elevate distribution’s impact and understanding across the organization.
• Attend all pertinent industry conferences and symposiums.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred (MBA, RPh, Pharm D, MPH, MHA).
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical trade & distribution. Preferred experience in rare disease / gene therapy.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing 3PLs, SDs, and SPs relationships.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation and offer development within a complex distribution channel environment.
• Previous launch experience in trade & distribution. Preferred launch experience in rare disease / gene therapy.
• Experience is Global (EX-US) Market Access preferred.
• Can operate independently as an individual contributor to drive results in a sometimes ambiguous and evolving environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort level with senior management presentations.
• Willingness to travel as needed (~30%).

Pay

Salary Range: $188,000 - $228,000
