About the role
This role is an exciting opportunity to shape how educational technology, artificial intelligence and innovation can support a sustainable, skilled and future-focused health and social care workforce across Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the development and application of technology-enabled learning and emerging innovations
- Help translate ambition into practical, high-impact delivery across national programs and partnerships
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of NHS Scotland Academy
Requirements
- Experience of providing strategic leadership in educational technology, digital learning, innovation or transformation within complex health, care, public sector or similarly large-scale environments
- Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, including AI, and the judgement to apply them responsibly, ethically and effectively to support learning, workforce development and service improvement
- A proven ability to build trusted partnerships and influence across national, regional and organisational boundaries
- The ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity, translating strategic ambition into practical, deliverable and measurable outcomes
