About the role

The Project Delivery Manager (DM) directs and manages all aspects of project development from inception to completion, ensuring effective product delivery to the client. The DM oversees project status, manages resources, maintains client relationships, and handles internal collaboration, change, risk, and escalation to ensure project profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Manage critical project aspects: scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, risks, and communication.
    • Ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective service delivery to the client.
    • Identify client business needs and act as the interface between the technical team and the client.
    • Create and track project plans, timelines, and milestones; share progress with the client.
    • Collaborate with the Architect and Technical Lead to prioritize and track new functionality and releases.
    • Support Validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases to ensure all business requirements are met.
    • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on project progress.
    • Manage project dependencies, critical path, and timelines.
    • Work with QA and Documentation teams to ensure overall project success.
    • Maintain the team’s deliverables schedule and timeliness.
  • Resource Management
    • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members to foster accountability.
    • Ensure team members have adequate skills in technology, project management, and software engineering processes.
    • Recognize and reward performance.
    • Resolve outstanding issues within project teams.
  • Relationship Management
    • Communicate client feedback on project progress and success factors to the team and stakeholders.
    • Identify farming opportunities and lead project initiation activities.
    • Collaborate with the Project Manager to drive growth, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Ensure regular collaboration with senior management, Project Manager, and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate proper handover from sales to delivery.
    • Review and approve changes affecting scope, timing, cost, or quality.
  • Escalation Management
    • Serve as the point of escalation for all delivery-related issues.
  • Risk Management
    • Monitor risks and execute risk mitigation plans with the Project Manager at major milestones, including project closure.
    • Provide management oversight based on project risk analysis.
  • Project Profitability / Finance
    • Ensure project profitability.
    • Review and close project accounts and financial files upon project completion.
  • Quality Management
    • Ensure the quality of deliverables and client satisfaction.
    • Understand and satisfy stakeholder expectations: client, users, governance group, senior management, team, and support groups.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of project management experience, including fixed-bid projects.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocations, especially in fixed-bid environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field.

Skills

  • Must Have:
    • Application development background with fixed-bid delivery experience.
    • US SLED/Public Sector experience is a plus.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in consulting or professional services industries.
    • Familiarity with software development projects.
    • Understanding of public sector compliance and procurement processes.

Pay

Salary Range: $170,000 – $200,000 gross (includes base + bonuses), depending on skills and years of experience.
