Associate - Commercial Litigation

About the role

BakerHostetler is seeking a talented litigation associate to join its nationally recognized Litigation Practice Group in Wilmington, Delaware.

Responsibilities

• Managing key aspects of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses

• Conducting legal research and developing case strategy

• Participating in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation

• Collaborating closely with partners and clients on complex matters

• Engaging in alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediations and arbitrations

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience, including litigation experience before the Delaware Court of Chancery

• Demonstrated pre-trial experience, including pleadings, motions practice, and discovery

• Experience with bankruptcy and/or intellectual property litigation is a plus

• Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• J.D. from an accredited, nationally recognized law school with strong academic credentials
