About the role
O'Hagan Meyer is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of civil litigation experience to join their Orange County, CA office. This position offers an opportunity for new attorneys interested in handling a variety of civil litigation matters, including premises liability, products liability, real estate, environmental disputes, insurance, and general construction litigation.
Responsibilities
- Handle a wide range of civil litigation matters involving cutting-edge topics and sophisticated, interesting clients
- Train newly licensed attorneys interested in commercial litigation
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to support legal strategies
- Write persuasive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assume responsibility for managing cases from inception through trial
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions
Requirements
- 1-3 years of litigation experience, including but not limited to premises liability, products liability, real estate, environmental disputes, insurance, and general construction litigation
- Outstanding writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Highly motivated to be part of a busy national practice
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Licensed to practice law in California
- Open to newly licensed attorneys
Qualifications
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in California
