The Associate Auction Coordinator will be the face of Auction.com, representing the company by conducting, co-hosting, and participating in live auctions, traditionally held on the courthouse steps. The territory for this role will be Williamsburg/Newport News VA, with occasional travel to surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

As an Associate Auction Coordinator, you will contribute to various functions of auctions and events, including welcoming guests, collecting customer information, and ensuring all pre-auction requirements are met. You will also be required to learn and share knowledge about Auction.com programs and initiatives, collect sensitive buyer and seller information, and provide customer service to all event day attendees.

  • Maintaining the highest level of professionalism with customers and on-site event location staff
  • Maintaining equipment and materials
  • Being a subject matter expert on customer resources
  • Professional communication and networking
  • Collecting customer information using proprietary software
  • Completing customer receipts and handling funds, including cash
  • Completing event reports and participating in scheduled training and team calls

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent technical troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. They will also have great adaptability, excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, and the ability to work well independently and as a team.
