Job Details
Job Description:
- Represent clients in construction and construction defect claims, managing cases from inception through trial or settlement
- Provide risk management advice and strategic legal guidance throughout construction projects
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
- Conduct complex legal research and analysis on construction and construction defect matters
- Collaborate with experts, consultants, and other professionals to develop strong case strategies
- Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings
- Mentor and support junior attorneys in research, case preparation, and trial strategy
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Texas Bar, in good standing
- 2+ years of litigation experience; prior construction or construction defect litigation experience strongly preferred
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team
- Strong client-service orientation and interpersonal skills
