Associate Attorney - Litigation/Construction Law

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent legal research and writing skills, and a genuine interest in construction-related disputes. Attorneys in this role will work closely with experienced litigators on a variety of matters involving construction defects, contract disputes, project delays, risk management, and other commercial litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
- Analyze contracts and construction-related documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members.
- Support senior attorneys in managing complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Georgia or eligible for admission.
- 0-3 years of litigation experience (judicial clerkship experience will also be considered).
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Interest in construction law and construction-related litigation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Participation in Moot Court, Mock Trial, Trial Advocacy, or similar competitive advocacy programs.
- Prior internship, clerkship, or externship experience involving litigation or construction law.
- Demonstrated interest in courtroom advocacy and litigation strategy.
