Associate Lawyer
About the role
This is a full-time, partial work-from-home position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a diverse caseload from inception through pre-trial, trial, and appeal when necessary ensuring each client receives effective legal representation
- Draft law and motion from initial complaints through all pre-trial motions and oppositions to trial and post-verdict pleadings
- Prepare and respond to discovery
- Take and defend depositions, including percipient witnesses and expert depositions
- Conduct pre-filing investigation and research
- Evaluate/Review potential cases, interview clients and witnesses
- Make court appearances, mostly in state court
- Support the firm’s marketing initiatives, including the creation of content
- Occasional travel
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years of civil litigation experience with substantial law and motion experience
- Licensed California attorney
- Familiar with California state and federal court procedure and substantive law
- Experience with bad faith and personal injury cases (preferred but not required)
- Deposition and some trial experience (preferred but not required)
- Bilingual is a plus (preferred but not required)
- Class Action experience (preferred but not required)

Compensation
$130,000 - $150,000/year
