Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to technical platform failures and trade disruptions.
- Manage client communication, providing timely updates and clear expectations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, analyzing log files, FIX logs, and environmental factors.
- Support scheduled jobs, monitor and configure using Autosys and Cron.
- Configure environmental alerting systems for servers and application components.
- Perform software upgrades and post-release health checks.
- Build tools, automate processes, and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement new features and enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Unix Shell, Perl) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of external connectivity and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Equities, Fixed Income, or Foreign Exchange trading.
- Experience with Source Code Repositories (Git, Perforce) and Software Release tools.
- Basic understanding of DB/SQL.
- Familiarity with JIRA Service Desk or similar issue tracking systems.
- Server administration skills and knowledge of FIX protocol.
