Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to technical platform failures and trade disruptions.
  • Manage client communication, providing timely updates and clear expectations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, analyzing log files, FIX logs, and environmental factors.
  • Support scheduled jobs, monitor and configure using Autosys and Cron.
  • Configure environmental alerting systems for servers and application components.
  • Perform software upgrades and post-release health checks.
  • Build tools, automate processes, and optimize application performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement new features and enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change).

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Unix Shell, Perl) for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of external connectivity and basic networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Equities, Fixed Income, or Foreign Exchange trading.
  • Experience with Source Code Repositories (Git, Perforce) and Software Release tools.
  • Basic understanding of DB/SQL.
  • Familiarity with JIRA Service Desk or similar issue tracking systems.
  • Server administration skills and knowledge of FIX protocol.
