Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

About the role

The Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Lafayette College supports the head coach in various aspects of the program, including coaching, recruiting, player development, and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Aid in practice planning, game strategy, and player development.
• Recruit high-achieving student-athletes who align with Lafayette's academic and athletic standards.
• Mentor student-athletes, fostering a culture of academic responsibility and achievement.
• Support student-athletes in leadership, discipline, and personal growth, in alignment with Lafayette's values.
• Work closely with individual athletes to develop technical skills, conditioning, and mental preparation for competition.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote the team's achievements and recruit visibility.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Collegiate playing or coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level.
• Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
• Upon position acceptance, successful completion of PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with student-athletes and staff, showcasing a genuine passion for enhancing the student-athlete experience.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• A commitment to adhering to Lafayette College, Patriot League, and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
