Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

About the role

The University of the Cumberlands invites applications for the position of assistant coach for women's lacrosse. This is a full-time, 12-month staff position, reporting to the head coach of women's lacrosse.

Responsibilities

• Affirming coaching strategies and methods to help student-athletes' growth in athletic, interpersonal, academic, and teamwork skills.
• Analyzing performance of team and adjusting strategies as needed.
• Planning and conducting practices and other activities in preparation for competition.
• Actively recruiting competitive and qualified individuals.
• Helping identify and develop team strategy for recruitment.
• Analyzing future needs.
• Creating promotional strategy for contacting and recruiting prospective student athletes.
• Developing promotional correspondence and materials for distribution to prospective recruits.
• Conducting recruiting calls, trips, and activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of coaching experience preferably at the collegiate level.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes.
• Organize official visits including assigning hosts and creating itineraries while adhering to all NAIA rules & guidelines.

• Knowledge of NCAA and NAIA regulations.
