About the role
The University of the Cumberlands invites applications for the position of assistant coach for women's lacrosse. This is a full-time, 12-month staff position, reporting to the head coach of women's lacrosse.
Responsibilities
- Affirming coaching strategies and methods to help student-athletes' growth in athletic, interpersonal, academic, and teamwork skills.
- Analyzing performance of team and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Planning and conducting practices and other activities in preparation for competition.
- Actively recruiting competitive and qualified individuals.
- Helping identify and develop team strategy for recruitment.
- Analyzing future needs.
- Creating promotional strategy for contacting and recruiting prospective student athletes.
- Developing promotional correspondence and materials for distribution to prospective recruits.
- Conducting recruiting calls, trips, and activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two years of coaching experience preferably at the collegiate level.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes.
- Organize official visits including assigning hosts and creating itineraries while adhering to all NAIA rules & guidelines.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Knowledge of NCAA and NAIA regulations.
