Assistant Track and Field Coach (Throwing)

About the role

Simpson College, an NCAA Division III institution, is seeking an Assistant Track and Field (Throws) coach. This role involves assisting the head coach with all aspects of the daily operations of the men’s and women’s intercollegiate track and field program, with a focus on coaching throwing events.

Responsibilities

• Recruit student-athletes for the track and field program
• Support student-athletes throughout their collegiate careers
• Assist with meet management
• Contribute to fundraising efforts
• Coach throwing events
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country, Head Track Coach, or the Director of Athletics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Previous coaching experience, ideally at the collegiate level
• Previous experience as a thrower or coaching throwing (required)
