Assistant High School Track and Field Throwing Coach

Official start date: March 15, 2027 End date: June 12, 2027 The Wayzata High School Track and Field team is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable assistant coach to join our team. Ideally the candidate would have coaching and/or throwing experience. This position will work in tandem with the head coach and additional assistant coaches to motivate athletes, create training plans, attend daily practices, and support at competitions. Ideal Qualifications Be present every day for duration of practiceKnowledge of how to build fitnessAbility to motivate athletesKnowledge of running recovery tools, nutritionEncourage and support longer meet daysEnsure health and safety of all athletes is monitoredAssist in bringing ideas to the team that connect athletes and build communityExperience in throwing discus and shot put Selection Procedure: Position is open only to WEA employees through 10/30/26. If no internal candidates are selected, external candidates will be considered. Position will remain open until filled. Stipend range is worth $100 - $7,640 for entire season. This position is not benefit eligible.
