About the role
The Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor in its non-JD online graduate program. This is a benefits eligible, academic-year (nine month) position.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to eight course offerings per academic year (2-4 courses per semester) in an online environment.
- May teach courses in-person, as required by program demands and law school administration.
- Attend program meetings, events, activities, and collaborate with the Graduate Programs team at the College of Law.
- Build and teach new courses, online or in-person.
- Be a non-voting member of the ASU law faculty.
- Support Graduate Programs administration with academic advising and support services for students (domestic and international), including cultivating academic expectations, promoting student camaraderie, and advancing program excellence.
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school, by the time of appointment.
- Candidates must have experience in Healthcare Law and/or Healthcare Compliance or adjacent areas.
Qualifications
- Superior academic credentials and a demonstrated record of, or the potential for, excellence in both teaching and service.
- Substantive online teaching experience.
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with faculty, staff, students and communities to advance the principles of the ASU Charter.
