About the Role

This is a benefits-eligible, academic-year (nine-month) position as an Assistant Teaching Professor. Teaching faculty positions are non-tenure track appointments on a year-to-year contract. The role involves teaching exclusively in an online environment, with a focus on contributing to ASU Law’s dynamic curriculum through a mixture of in-person and online instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction in required first-year courses, upper-level electives, or both.
  • Contribute to the college and university community through participation in meetings and projects.
  • Engage in relevant professional activities, such as presentations and publications.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • JD or equivalent advanced degree.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of law practice experience or two (2) years teaching law students in an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Desired:
    • Proven excellence or potential in law teaching.
    • Commitment to student success and innovative pedagogy.
    • Flexibility to teach in a hybrid learning environment.
