About the role
Sally Beauty is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team. This role supports the Store Manager in managing all store operations, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise and support associates in achieving exceptional client experiences that maximize sales and drive customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and coach or counsel team members. Maintain positive relations with associates and keep them informed of relevant information. Build strong relationships with Store Manager peers.
30% Operations: Ensure execution of company processes, manage inventory, schedule employees, and ensure correct store opening and closing procedures. Follow company directives, assignments, and projects.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure store safety, enforce policies, protect company assets, analyze reports, and comply with HAZMAT training and execution.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
