About the role
Sally Beauty is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team. This role supports the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise and direct associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and coach or counsel as needed. Maintain positive relations with associates and peers, and ensure compliance with company policies.
30% Operations: Execute company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures. Follow company directives and complete projects on time.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure a safe store environment, enforce policies, and protect company assets. Analyze reports and utilize available tools to maintain compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience
Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
