About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • 30% Brand: Supervise and support associates in achieving exceptional customer experiences that maximize sales and drive customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.

  • 30% People: Engage, train, and develop the team to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and coach or counsel team members. Maintain positive relationships with associates and keep them informed of relevant company information.

  • 30% Operations: Ensure the execution of company processes, manage inventory, schedule employees, and follow through on company directives and projects. Manage payroll hours and ensure compliance with inventory and cash control procedures.

  • 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure the store environment is safe, enforce policies and procedures, and analyze and utilize available reporting and tools to maintain compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred

  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred

  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives

  • Effective communication skills

  • Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
