About the role

Sally Beauty is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team. This role supports the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates.

Responsibilities

  • Brand: Supervise and support associates in achieving exceptional customer experiences, maximizing sales and driving customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards are met and resolve customer issues.

  • People: Engage, train, and develop a team to achieve business objectives. Recruit and manage associates, addressing their strengths and opportunities. Maintain positive relationships and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Operations: Manage store processes, including inventory, payroll, and store operations. Ensure adherence to company guidelines and utilize digital strategies.

  • Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure a safe store environment and protect company assets. Analyze reports and maintain compliance with HAZMAT training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 18 years old

  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience

  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience

  • Ability to lead or support a team

  • Effective communication skills

  • Scheduling availability to meet business needs

  • Cosmetology license desirable but not required
