Assistant Store Manager - Full-Time

Role Overview The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations by maintaining a clean, organized environment focused on customer satisfaction. They assist the Store Manager with supervising staff, managing merchandise presentation, handling paperwork, and performing stocking and cashier duties. Their goal is to maximize profitability, ensure asset protection, and enhance customer experience. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting customers, and operating cash registers.Assist with employee scheduling, training, and safety meetings.Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, and display according to planograms.Maintain accurate inventory levels, control damages, markdowns, and ensure proper merchandise rotation.Support financial integrity through cashier accountability, cash handling, and deposit procedures.Help manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication, problem-solving, and organization skills.Ability to interpret diagrams, safety rules, and operational manuals.Competence in mathematical calculations and cash register functions.Knowledge of cash handling, security practices, and safety policies.High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail and supervisory experience valued. Working Conditions: Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, climbing, and operating equipment. The environment is fast-paced with moderate noise, occasional weather exposure, and requires occasional driving for deposits and store visits.
