Assistant Residential Manager

Summary/Objective

Support the goals, objectives, and philosophy of the agency. Will support the Agency’s values by working with measurable signs of PRIDE.

Essential Functions

• Provide supervision and direction to Direct Support Professionals and complete duties as assigned by the Residential Manager.
• Aid in training and supervision of Direct Support Professionals to ensure staff are competent to provide habilitative services.
• Offer assistance, training, and supervision for the people we support in areas such as self-care, domestic skills, socialization, and other designated areas.
• Ensure the residence operates according to agency policy and procedure and all other governing bodies required.
• Aid in the implementation and follow-through of all ADL, interpersonal skill training, and behavior modification programs for the people we support as directed by the Residential Manager.
• Aid in documentation, fire drills, and matters concerning the people we support's programs, site physical plant, household supplies, equipment repair, and personal needs.
• Participate in and/or conduct staff meetings, training, and discussions regarding the people we support in the absence of the Residential Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Travel

Travel is expected for this position, as needed, to locations in Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties to ensure community activities for the people we support, attend outings, appointments, and trainings.

Work Environment

This job operates out of the home of the people we support. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, as well as standard household equipment.
