Responsibilities
- Oversee IRA operations as a support to the Resident Manager and assume facility oversight in the Manager's absence.
- Participate in DSP orientation, supervision, and evaluation.
- Cook and manage clothing and personal items, oversee petty cash, maintain detailed expenditure.
- Maintain and observe staff, deliver feedback on the implementation of the individuals’ service, treatment behavior, all person-centered plans through morning, meal observations, community inclusion feedback, outings, external appointment feedback, meetings, and daily goal performance.
- Follow up with DSPs and work with managers/MAP/nurses/BIS to support all medical and clinical care, plans, meetings, and data for all persons supported.
- Follow up with DSPs on missed notations and communication log cross-referenced negated info.
- Aid in developing and implementing staff action plans for persons supported to achieve personalized goals and outcomes.
- Respond to requests by S&Q, Centralized Schedulers, DQI Survey and work with AVP in manager's absence.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with program regulations, policies, and standards to uphold quality care and safety for persons supported.
- Coordinate and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and improve service delivery.
- Collaborate and communicate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive services and support for persons supported.
- Implement and oversee emergency preparedness protocols and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of persons supported during crises.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports related to persons supported care, program activities, and regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with individuals, staff, community partners, advocates, and stakeholders to enhance support networks, promote inclusive opportunities, and advocate for the rights of persons supported.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid NY/NJ/CT/PA Driver’s License with 6 months of experience and 6 or less points
- Minimum of 1 years of progressive experience in residential services, supervisory experience a plus.
- Knowledge of Developmental Disabilities: Understanding of the unique needs, challenges, and best practices in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Person-Centered Planning: Experience in developing and implementing individualized life plans tailored to meet the specific goals and preferences of persons supported.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines governing residential programs for persons with developmental disabilities (e.g., Medicaid regulations, licensing requirements).
- Budget Management: Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of program funds.
- Assisting with handling the budget for the residence when it comes to food shopping, recreational activities, and giving out our picking up petty cash--this includes monitoring funds spent on in-house ledger reconciling by manager and/or AVP.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with persons supported, families, advocates, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Crisis Management: Ability to respond calmly and effectively to crises or emergencies that may arise in a residential setting, ensuring the safety and well-being of persons supported.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Experience in maintaining accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and regulatory compliance records.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.

Salary Range
$29.88/hour (plus education additive $1.83/hour Associate's or higher)
