Assistant Residence Manager

Responsibilities

• Implement the daily operation of the assigned residence and function as shift leader in the absence of the Residence Manager (RM).
• Aid in the planning and execution of Individual Service Plans (ISP)/Individualized Plan of Care (IPP) Plans.
• Maintain mandated Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) medication certification and dispense medication as assigned.
• Ensure all required documentation is completed, including daily logs, MyAvatar, staff communication logs, data collection, bed checks.
• Responsible for student/resident clothing and property inventories.
• Complete client/house money ledgers as spending occurs in conjunction with the RM.
• Supervise and assist with house meals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher degree (BS/BA) preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid CT Drivers License.
• Flexible, patient, energetic, and creative.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday.
• Lift, push, pull, or assist with up to 70 pounds as needed.
• Assist with emergency responses, including evacuations or crisis situations.

Pay & Schedule

Starting at $23.50 hourly (commensurate with education and experience).
