Our client is a fast-growing general contractor in downtown Chicago with over $75 million in annual revenue and a strong backlog through 2027. Their project portfolio includes ground-up and interior projects in commercial, retail, education, office, and healthcare spaces.
About the role
This position involves preparing complete estimates, submitting bids, developing project budgets and schedules, reviewing trade scopes, negotiating contracts with owners and subcontractors, and managing the project closeout process, including financial aspects. You will also lead and mentor team members while reviewing plans and specifications with high attention to detail.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction
- Strong estimating skills
- Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or related discipline (preferred)
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project
- Experience managing large-scale, ground-up projects ($5 million and up)
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Collaborative team-player attitude
