Key Responsibilities
- Support project planning and preconstruction activities, including scope development, estimating assistance, and bid coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
- Aid in preparing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking; monitor change orders and update forecasts.
- Manage daily project documentation and communication using Procore and SharePoint: upload drawings, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
- Cook up subcontractor procurement and bidding processes: distribute bid packages, track bids, evaluate proposals, and assist in subcontract issuance.
- Attend and support project meetings (internal, client, subcontractor); prepare agendas, record minutes, and follow up on action items to closure.
- Coordinate site visits and inspections to monitor progress, safety, and quality; coordinate with field staff and trade partners to resolve issues promptly.
- Aid in contract administration: prepare purchase orders, process invoices, review contract documents, and monitor compliance with project requirements and healthcare facility standards.
- Help manage project closeout activities: compile turnover documentation, ensure punch lists are completed, and assist with warranty and as-built documentation.
- Maintain organized project files and records, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and templates for preconstruction and construction activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 14 years of experience in construction industry roles; experience on healthcare projects strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with preconstruction and bidding processes, including subcontractor solicitation and bid evaluation.
- Experience using construction management platforms such as Procore and collaboration tools like SharePoint.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
- Basic understanding of construction contracts, change order processes, and project cost tracking.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, owners, and consultants; willingness to attend jobsite visits as needed.
