Assistant Program Director

The Day Habilitation program located in Slingerlands, NY is seeking a full‑time, 40‑hour Assistant Program Director.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (includes a daily 30‑minute unpaid lunch break), with flexibility based on program needs.

Pay

Hourly rate of $25.00 per hour plus longevity increments. This is a non‑exempt, hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Train, educate, and support staff members.
• Oversee daily operations of the Krumkill Day Habilitation program to ensure participants are safe and supported both in the program and in the community.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
• Valid driver’s license meeting WWAARC insurability standards; strong driving history preferred.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of individual and agency information.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and lead staff.
• Effective decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Empathetic, compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English sufficient for communication with participants and team members and for required documentation.
• Physical ability to lift or move items up to 50 lb, twist/bend, and remain mobile within the classroom or building for extended periods.
