Assistant Program Director

Full-time position located in Easton, PA.

About the role

At COMHAR, our mission is to provide health and human services that empower individuals, families and communities to live healthier, self‑determined lives. We are seeking an Assistant Director for the Outpatient Restoration Long Term Structured Residence (ORLTSR) in Easton, PA. This residential treatment facility serves justice‑involved adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with severe mental illness who require intensive mental health treatment in a therapeutic setting, including those admitted on Conditional Release or needing competency restoration, offering a recovery‑oriented alternative to incarceration.

Responsibilities

• Work from a recovery framework within the team promoting individual and group psychotherapy using psychotherapeutic interventions, cultural competence, and trauma‑informed care to help individuals obtain their recovery goals.
• Oversee the clinical and administrative operations of the ORLTSR, as well as the residence and staff, ensuring compliance with all requirements and regulations set forth by COMHAR and external constituents.
• Facilitate all required inspections and maintain safety standards.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all associated regulations pertaining to record keeping and reporting.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a clinical discipline and 2 years of relevant mental health and supervisory experience.
• Professional license, certification or registration is preferred if relevant to the position.
• Forensic education or professional experience is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative environment, using creativity with problem solving and adapting to changing priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of the behavioral health system.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
