Assistant Professor of Research Pediatrics Neurology -CHLA

About the role

The Neurologic Institute (NI), the Developmental Neuroscience and Neurogenetics Program (DNNP) and The Saban Research Institute (TSRI) at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) are seeking to hire an outstanding faculty investigator in the Division of Neurology of the Department of Pediatrics of the Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC).

Responsibilities

• Establish or grow a robust research program focusing on the immunology of the developing nervous system and/or neuroinflammatory disorders in children.
• Collaborate with existing clinical and translational expertise to advance research.
• Demonstrate a track record of successful extramurally funded research or a strong potential to develop innovative research programs that can attract sustained extramural funding.
• Show a strong commitment to and evidence of an explicit commitment to diversity and advancing understanding and outcomes for underrepresented groups.

Requirements

• Earned a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree.
• Completed a minimum of two years of postdoctoral training.
• Strong background in collaborative immunology research.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $81,811-$235,858.
