About the Role

The Division of Neurology, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) are actively seeking a neurologist with training in child neurology as a full-time faculty member for the position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology and Pediatrics to join its current team faculty members as a clinical researcher.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the academic mission of the division by building a cutting-edge academic infrastructure within our comprehensive care model that fosters the training of future physician scientists while ensuring that research studies include the diverse patient communities of CHLA.
  • Perform cutting-edge research and contribute towards the division’s growing research portfolio.
  • Provide outpatient clinical services to CHLA and five satellite clinic locations within the greater Los Angeles area.
  • Teach and mentor residents in the ACGME-approved child neurology residency program which operates in collaboration with the KSOM LAC + USC/University Hospital.

Requirements

  • Training in child neurology.
  • Experience in clinical research.
  • Ability to work in a busy urban teaching hospital with a diverse patient population.
  • Experience in providing outpatient clinical services to CHLA and five satellite clinic locations within the greater Los Angeles area.
  • Ability to teach and mentor residents in the ACGME-approved child neurology residency program which operates in collaboration with the KSOM LAC + USC/University Hospital.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Neuroscience or related field.
  • Postdoctoral training in relevant field.
  • Research experience in child neurology.
  • Experience in clinical research.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy urban teaching hospital with a diverse patient population.
  • Ability to provide outpatient clinical services to CHLA and five satellite clinic locations within the greater Los Angeles area.
  • Ability to teach and mentor residents in the ACGME-approved child neurology residency program which operates in collaboration with the KSOM LAC + USC/University Hospital.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904-$325,712.

Schedule
