About the role
The School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for up to two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to start in Fall 2024. Candidates will be expected to conduct innovative and impactful research and to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in Health Informatics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative and impactful research in Health Informatics
- Teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels
- Address the human and/or societal implications of information and technology on healthcare
Requirements
- PhD in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong record of research and publication
- Excellent teaching skills
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Expertise that spans more than one concentration or focuses on the intersections of these concentrations with a specific focus on healthcare
Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
