About the role
The School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin is seeking up to two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions starting in Fall 2024. These positions are focused on Health Informatics within the context of a new undergraduate informatics degree program that integrates with other concentrations like Human-Centered Data Science, User Experience Design, and Social Informatics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative and impactful research in Health Informatics and related interdisciplinary areas.
- Teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, focusing on Health Informatics and potentially integrating with other concentrations.
- Address the human and societal implications of information and technology in healthcare.
Requirements
- PhD in Information Studies, Library and Information Science, or a closely related field.
- Outstanding research record.
- Experience teaching at the university level.
- Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and research.
