About the role
The College of Information - Department of Information Science at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Health Informatics to begin in Spring 2023.
Responsibilities
- Teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Informatics
- Conduct research in areas such as clinical informatics, health information systems, health data analytics, and the use of technology in healthcare
- Explore the challenges of health information technology as it relates to underserved populations
- Work with doctoral students and serve on dissertation committees
Requirements
- Demonstrate a record of research accomplishments
- Ability to design and deliver courses in various formats, including online and hybrid modalities
- Be motivated to be a leader in research and teaching
- Leverage the strengths of the department's dynamic faculty and programs
- Build collaborative relationships within the University and profession
Qualifications
- PhD in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong record of research publications
- Experience teaching at the university level
- Interest in working with underserved populations
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Knowledge of health information systems and technologies
