Research Assistant Professor of Informatics

About the role

The Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Professor on the non‑tenure research track with expertise in biomedical informatics methods development and applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct collaborative research with standing faculty members.
• Develop, evaluate, and apply biomedical informatics methods.
• Attract and maintain extramural funding.
• Conduct research and publish peer‑reviewed manuscripts.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
• Postdoctoral training is encouraged.
• Expertise in biomedical informatics methods development and applications.
• Experience in one or more of: NLP, AI and Machine Learning, bioinformatics, translational bioinformatics, clinical informatics, clinical research informatics, consumer health informatics, public health informatics.
