About the role
The College of Information - Department of Information Science at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Health Informatics to begin in Spring 2023.
Responsibilities
- Teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Informatics.
- Conduct research in areas such as clinical informatics, health information systems, health data analytics, and the use of technology in healthcare.
- Explore the challenges of health information technology as it relates to underserved populations.
- Work with doctoral students and serve on dissertation committees.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a record of research accomplishments.
- Able to design and deliver courses in various formats, including online and hybrid modalities.
- Be motivated to be a leader in research and teaching.
- Build collaborative relationships within the University and profession.
Qualifications
- PhD in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring graduate students.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and communities.
