Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience
Job Overview
The UC College of Medicine seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Professor-level candidate to join the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience. The final rank and title will be commensurate with experience and professional accomplishments.
Clinical supervision, mentoring, preceptorships and training of medical students, psychiatry residents and clinical fellows in mental health related fields.
Formal and informal lectures on research design, mood disorders, psychopharmacology and curriculum evaluations.
Clinical research as principal investigator, co-investigator, and/or sub-investigator in NIH and industry funded studies.
Clinical evaluations, diagnostic assessments, standardized psychometric evaluations, treatment and follow-up of adults with mood and psychotic disorders as incidental to research.
Train and supervise research assistants, postgraduate students, and nurses in clinical research protocols.
Opportunity for administrative and leadership roles, participation in quality improvement, peer supervision, and formal mentorship.
Minimum Requirements
Prior to the effective date of appointment, must have all of the following:
- A Medical Degree (MD or DO), or equivalent.
- An Ohio Clinical Research Faculty Certificate.
- Completion of 48 months of residency/training in Psychiatry.

Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
