Key responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality clinical care for patients with cancer-related emergencies in a fast-paced academic healthcare environment.
  • Participating in clinical, translational, and outcomes-based research initiatives that advance the field of Oncologic Emergency Medicine.
  • Teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare trainees.
  • Contributing to quality improvement programs, departmental committees, and institutional service activities.
  • Supporting the development of innovative care models and best practices that enhance patient safety, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

  • M.D. and completion of accredited residency
  • Board certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure
  • Minimum 2 years Instructor experience or 5 years post-degree clinical/scientific training

Pay

This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
