About the role

The School of Engineering is seeking multiple positions in computational biology, computational chemistry, bioinformatics, signal processing, AI, Robotics, Robotics, Cybersecurity, Big Data in Health, Human Virtual Modeling and Precision Medicine, and those with Digital Health industry experience in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturing, Dassault Systèmes SW Suite, or equivalent familiarity with the value chain for manufacturing next generation diagnostic, theragnostic and treatment using simulation and multi-scale modeling, and VR and AR systems integration.

Responsibilities

Candidates will be expected to build and tailor capabilities to meet the challenge of integrating the 3DS Platform into course development, teaching and learning, and research. These positions offer excellent potential for career growth and leadership. The successful candidates must possess strong records of academic and research excellence at the cutting edge of their fields.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
Faculty positions span various application domains and expertise areas. Candidates for the School of Engineering core faculty must have an earned Ph.D. before the start date of the position in one or more of the following fields: electrical & mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, IoTs, computational biology, computational chemistry, or a related field. Tenure-track Faculty candidates should have demonstrated experience with manufacturing and digital design, particularly in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. All candidates must have a demonstrated record of excellence in research with the potential to establish an independent research program and a commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the School of Engineering, the Center of Excellence, and LIU at large and its community.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will be those who have experience and/or demonstrated ability to teach a variety of courses in engineering, computing and AI, at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
