Assistant Professor
The Department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology in the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time, 12-month tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.
About the role
We seek a highly motivated individual who will establish an independent, externally funded research program and contribute to the department’s teaching mission. The successful candidate will participate in team teaching in the first-year veterinary curriculum, with emphasis on systems-based physiology, and contribute to graduate-level instruction.
Responsibilities
- Establish an independent, externally funded research program
- Contribute to the department’s teaching mission
- Participate in team teaching in the first-year veterinary curriculum, emphasizing systems-based physiology
- Contribute to graduate-level instruction
- Collaborate with current faculty to extend the department’s strengths throughout the College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn University, and through external research partnerships
Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field at the time the appointment begins
- Evidence of research productivity and the potential to establish an independent research program
- Commitment to excellence in instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Research foci that could synergize with established areas of interest in the department, college, and university
