About the role
This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in History of STS
- Conduct original research and publish in relevant academic journals
- Engage with community partners and enhance public outreach
- Participate in departmental and university governance activities
- Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary projects
Qualifications
- PhD in History or anticipated completion by August 1, 2027
- Strong research background in STS, particularly in public health, environmental history, labor, or data regimes
- Teaching experience or expertise in pre-1900 history or African American/Indigenous History
- Ability to engage with public-facing institutions
- Knowledge of how science and technology influence governance and societal issues
