About the role

This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in History of STS
  • Conduct original research and publish in relevant academic journals
  • Engage with community partners and enhance public outreach
  • Participate in departmental and university governance activities
  • Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary projects

Qualifications

  • PhD in History or anticipated completion by August 1, 2027
  • Strong research background in STS, particularly in public health, environmental history, labor, or data regimes
  • Teaching experience or expertise in pre-1900 history or African American/Indigenous History
  • Ability to engage with public-facing institutions
  • Knowledge of how science and technology influence governance and societal issues
