Assistant Production Manager

Role Overview: The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for leading team training, maintaining facility standards, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment. They support the Production Manager by optimizing processes, achieving production targets, and identifying cost-saving opportunities while upholding quality standards. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Production Manager to lead process enhancements and operational improvements.Support and motivate team members to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.Ensure safety through regular inspections, training, and proactive initiatives.Oversee wastewater processes to enhance efficiency and environmental compliance.Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and equipment maintenance for seamless operations.Assist in developing production schedules aligned with business goals.Collaborate across departments to synchronize production with overall business objectives.Adapt strategies to changing conditions and support employee onboarding, retention, and offboarding. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.High School diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of production management experience preferred.At least 2 years of leadership experience with strong team-building and interpersonal skills.Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ISO standards and Lean Six Sigma is a plus.Financial literacy to analyze costs and make data-driven decisions.Willingness to occasionally travel ( Core Competencies: Leadership, process improvement, strategic agility, and fostering a collaborative environment.
