Assistant Production Manager
About the role
Barnacle Seafoods, LLC is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to join our team in Lemon Creek, Juneau, Alaska. This position offers a starting salary range of $24,000 - $28,000 annually, with benefits including paid time off and a 4-day work week.
Specific Duties
- Supervise the crew, overseeing and cultivating a safe, productive, and supportive work environment.
- Train crew members in production procedures and observe and evaluate them to ensure quality and efficiency standards are met.
- Provide praise and constructive feedback for crew members, redirecting as needed and communicate clearly to share expectations.
- Solicit and respond to feedback from crew members.
- Help lead production of products, learning daily and adapting to frequent changes in operations.
- Oversee production of Barnacle’s products, ensuring adherence to procedures and process controls.
- Recommend measures for improving work procedures and crew performance to increase quality, efficiency, and job satisfaction.
Production Management
- Lead the production of Barnacle’s products, adhering to company procedures and process controls.
- Ensure production processes are executed accurately, exercising attention to detail and time management skills.
- Recommend improvements to work procedures and crew performance.
General Duties
- Clean and sanitize the processing area, dishes, and equipment.
- Carefully weigh, record, and assemble products following detailed procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Pack products for shipping following different protocols for wholesale and online orders.

Requirements
- Maintain and enforce a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene.
- Comply with food safety protocols for food processors.
- Ability to lift/carry and/or move up to 50 pounds safely.
- Valid drivers license (preferred).
