Assistant or Associate Professor
The College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor (PCN F03329) and an administrative role (PCN A04045) as a combined full-time position (1.0 FTE).
About the role
This position is offered in conjunction with an administrative appointment. The combined responsibilities include training students according to the mission of COMP, which emphasizes technical competence, cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and compassion in osteopathic healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and be a role model for medical students.
- Teach the full scope of medicine in any medical or surgical specialty, as defined by current COMP policies and practices.
- Demonstrate a commitment to osteopathic philosophy and lifelong learning.
- Contribute to translational research and clinical practice.
Requirements
- DO or MD degree.
- Residency trained and Board Certified in a medical or surgical specialty.
- Experience in any medical or surgical specialty.
- Unrestricted California State license (or eligible to obtain).
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency certificate.
Qualifications
- Prior medical student teaching experience preferred.
- Bilingual capabilities preferred.
- Formal training or coursework in medical education preferred.
- Clinical research experience preferred.
Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able and willing to teach the full scope of medicine.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to osteopathic philosophy and lifelong learning.

Pay
The expected pay range for this combined Administrative and Faculty role is from $220,000.00 to $230,000.00 annually, reflecting the total compensation for both responsibilities.
