Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care and consultations for adult patients with kidney disease.
  • Deliver clinical services in both inpatient hospital settings and ambulatory clinics within the Johns Hopkins Health System.
  • Manage adult patients receiving dialysis at affiliated outpatient centers, including a rapidly growing home dialysis program.
  • Participate in weekly, weekend, and holiday call rotations.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures, case discussions, and curriculum-related activities.
  • Engage trainees in reviewing scientific publications and evidence-based practice.
  • Contribute to a robust research environment that spans basic, translational, and clinical investigation.
  • Collaborate widely across the Schools of Medicine and Public Health.
  • Support and participate in the division’s expanding clinical trials program.
  • Pursue independent and collaborative funding opportunities as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • A medical degree (MD or equivalent foreign degree).
  • A minimum of one year of patient care and scholarly experience.
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland medical license.
  • Board certification in Nephrology, or official documentation of eligibility to sit for the certification exam.

Salary Ranges

  • Assistant Professor: $125,558 – $222,552
  • Associate Professor: $122,590 – $257,215
