This individual will provide care at one or both of our clinical sites.

We are a group of approximately 60 pediatric and med-peds hospitalists who provide coverage at two Twin Cities area hospitals: University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital (UMMCH) and Fairview Ridges Hospital. UMMCH is an academic, free-standing children's hospital in Minneapolis providing a full range of pediatric specialties services including PICU, transplant, and pediatric cardiology. Fairview Ridges Hospital is a community site in the South Metro of the Twin Cities with floor-level inpatient pediatrics, ED pediatric consults, and newborn nursery.

  • Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship experience is a plus but not required for this position.
  • Academic appointments will be made through the University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Pediatrics.
  • The duties of a hospitalist include all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge, caring for newborns through 18+ year-old patients, and working closely with the primary care physicians and specialists. Delivery coverage is not required.
  • At both of our clinical sites, we are involved in teaching a variety of medical learners including medical students, residents, and APP students; leading quality improvement and patient safety projects; and administrative leadership responsibilities.
  • This position provides ample opportunity for growth and development.
