Assistant or Associate Professor
About the role
The Department of Marketing in the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia invites applications from candidates whose main research and teaching focus is consumer behavior for one or more tentatively approved full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant or associate professor rank. The Department will begin screening applicants for potential open positions for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year, with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and master’s level marketing courses
- Conduct research in consumer behavior and publish in premier peer-reviewed journals
- Engage in service activities within the department, college, and university
Requirements
- Hold a Ph.D. in Marketing or a related social science discipline from an accredited university at the time of appointment
Qualifications
- Demonstrated potential to publish rigorous research in premier peer-reviewed journals
- Record of publication in premier journals commensurate with rank and demonstrated excellence in teaching
- Demonstrably national reputation to the institution
Skills
- The ability to teach marketing classes at the undergraduate and master’s level is a plus
