About the role
The Assistant or Associate Director of Athletics supports the administration of the University's intercollegiate athletics program with a primary focus on NCAA, conference, and institutional compliance. This position assists with day-to-day compliance operations, documentation, education, and reporting to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
- Assist with NCAA, conference, and institutional compliance audits and investigations
- Provide guidance and training to coaches, staff, and student-athletes regarding compliance issues
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all necessary compliance documentation
- Monitor and report on compliance-related data and metrics
- Participate in meetings and committees related to compliance matters
- Support the development and maintenance of compliance-related records and databases
Requirements
- Master's degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in collegiate athletics compliance
- Strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Experience working within a Division I athletics environment
- Knowledge of conference and institutional compliance requirements
